I was introduced to Paul Alsides and his team by extended family, who knew I was in the process of possibly selling my childhood home. Within a few days, they reached out to me to set up a time to look at the home. My current tenant was not keeping it clean so I feared they would not consider it for sale. I was lucky, they said it was built solidly and they would help me get it ready to put on the market. Paul leads a great real estate team. They kept me informed step-by-step as to what was happening, what needed to be done and if I had any questions, they quickly answered them. When things were confusing and I felt overwhelmed, they explained everything to me in detail and made sure I was no longer confused or uncertain on anything. I, personally, would not want to list with anyone else, should I ever decide to sell my own home. I met Paul via an online real estate search about a year and a half prior to me planning to relocate to the Twin City area from Iowa upon becoming an empty nester. Paul was very knowledgeable about the area and I was very unsure of what exactly I was looking for. He was very accommodating and flexible to coordinate showings when I could be in the area since I lived out of state. E-mail correspondence was also very informative. In 2001 he helped me buy my first home. I was so happy with his work that I contacted him in 2009 when my husband-to-be and I were looking for a home, and he helped us through that process. This year I needed to put my Dads condo up for sale. The condo wasnt even on the market for one full day before it sold! He knows what hes doing and can tell you pretty much spot-on what you should expect to receive from a sale or how much you will pay for a property. They are all professional and friendly, and they stay in contact with the other agent, the closers, and the title companies, to make sure everything runs smoothly. I referred an elderly client of mine to him, and he took on that sale knowing that he wasnt going to get much profit for his time. That referral says a lot, as it really wasnt a referral from meit was a referral from me as a representative of our firm. If there was a way for me to give them stars, they would get 5 out of 5! Paul graciously came and spent a couple hours with us talking about recent sales in the building, upgrades both couples had made in our units, the general real estate market, the real estate market for those of us at or near retirement age, etc. He did this with no promise of our proceeding to look for new housing. In fact, at the time, my wife and I were fairly certain we were not looking to move. About 2 or 3 months after first meeting Paul, we called him back and said that we wanted to look at one townhome unit in particular. Paul graciously showed that to us and helped us subsequently make an offer for it. We did not get the unit and that led to a more extensive search and subsequently purchasing a twin-home unit. Paul now has our original condo unit listed for sale. He has been responsive when we needed him, respectful of us and our time, and has willingly shared his knowledge and strategy. He has always made us feel that we are making the decisions.

It goes without saying that selling our former home was a very difficult endeavor given the fact there are unique market conditions in Woodbury; specifically, the competition with new construction. Paul was very upfront with being honest so that we would not be wasting time with an over inflated price that other agents suggested that we put it at simply to get the listing. Also, when it came to dealing with more than one offer that we received on our house, we appreciated Paul standing firm with our realistic counter offer price by not caving in just to get the house sold. This is my 6th Real Estate transaction with you Paul, I keep coming back to you for any sale or purchase of a Home. The main one is that you always follow through on anything you tell me and always give me Great advice on our next move and what it should be. I met Paul Alsides when he came to our non-profit organization, looking to donate to a worthy cause. Within a few weeks, I realized that he was very serious about helping us in whatever way he could. Within a couple months we invited him to serve on our Board of Directors. One of our programs here at Guadalupe Alternative Programs is called YouthBuild...where our high school students build or rehab inner-city housing for low-income families while they also earn credits toward their high school diplomas. Our students finished building a new house on the West Side of St. Paul in the summer of 2017. Paul immediately took it upon himself to help us sell the house, and at a substantially discounted rate since we are a non-profit. He really helped and guided us through the process.
